| Description |
English: Demonstration of effects of a light diffuser in close-up photography. Left a flowering plant of Ragged Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi) in direct sunlight. With the help of a diffuser (in this case a white fabric-covered "studio umbrella") then the plant – not the background – was shaded artificially. The result is shown in the right image. Decide yourself which one you like best.
Deutsch: Demonstration der Wirkung eines Lichtdiffusors in der Nahfotografie. Links eine blühende Kuckucks-Lichtnelke (Lychnis flos-cuculi) im direkten Sonnenlicht. Mit Hilfe eines Diffusors (in dem Fall ein mit weißem Stoff bespannter "Studioschirm"/Durchlichtschirm) wurde dann die Pflanze – aber nicht der Hintergrund – abgeschattet. Das Ergebnis ist im rechten Foto zu sehen. Der Betrachter möge selbst entscheiden, welches Bild ihm besser gefällt. Bei der Nutzung eines Diffusors verlängert sich allerdings die Belichtungszeit durch den künstlichen Schatten deutlich (wie man ja auch am viel helleren Hintergrund sieht). |
