"Dati generali sulle miniature1737 l'abate G. F. Ramelli dona a Carlo Emanuele III le prime 68 miniature del nucleo (A. BAUDI DI VESME, Schede. L'arte in Piemonte, vol. III, 1968, p. 888)1758-1766 Carlo Emanuele III commissiona a Giuseppe Lavy 71 ritratti in miniatura, a partire dalle origini della dinastia (A. BAUDI DI VESME, Schede. L'arte in Piemonte, vol. II, Torino 1966, p. 617-619) - per inciso si segnala che in tali anni è contemporaneamente attivo per la corte il miniaturista Giovanni Domenico Gambone -; dalla consultazione della Banca dati documentaria inerente il Palazzo Reale di Torino, come si desume dalla scheda n. 140881 di P. Traversi, in data 24 maggio 1749 sono segnalate 8 miniature già fatte pervenire da Roma al re da G. Lavy (AST, Camerale Piemonte, art. 217, 1749, cap. 6, art. 120)1799 Memoria Brambilla inerente i dipinti asportati dai francesi: sono segnalate 24 miniature ovali del Ramelli, senza specifiche ulteriori di soggetto e 10 quadri del Gabinetto del Ramelli (poté trattarsi dei dipinti del Nogari?); le 24 miniature razziate sarebbero dunque parte del nucleo di 48 ovali attribuiti al Ramelli, con cornici scolpite e dorate, stimati nell'insieme 1600 franchi, di cui al n° 585 dell'Inventaire descriptif, et estimatif des meubles existants dans les Palais Imperiaux de Turin, et Stupinis et leurs dependances, Cabinet à L'Ouest dit de Ramelli (consultato in copia presso la Galleria Sabauda, s.d., ma 1805 (?), Maison del Empereur, f. 42) 1815 l'Inventaro de' mobili esistenti ne' Reali appartamenti del Palazzo di Torino, redatto dal concierge Giuseppe Deville e datato 6 maggio 1815 (consultato in copia presso la Galleria Sabauda, ff. non numerati), nel Cabinetto detto delle miniature segnala "Un boesaggio che copre tutto il cabinetto comperto de' quattro ghiaccie e quantità di pezzi di ghiaccie contornate di cornici intagliate e dorate, di quaranta miniature del padre Ramelli (.)"1815-1830 tra i miniaturisti attivi in Palazzo Reale si segnalano Luigi Poggiuoli e Carlo Vacca (quest'ultimo autore, secondo C. Rovere, dei 2 ritratti miniati di Maria Clotilde e Maria Teresa inglobati nella specchiera della Sala del Consiglio)Maria Adelaide Clotilde di Borbone-Francia (1750-1802) sposò Carlo Emanuele IV nel 1775; divenne Regina di Sardegna nel 1796; l'anno della sua morte coincise con quello dell'abdicazione del consorte."
