Peinture autrefois attribuée à Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun, l'attribution a Marie-Victoire Lemoine a été rétablie dans Joseph Baillio, «Vie et Oeuvre de Marie-Victoire Lemoine», Gazette des Beaux-Arts, avril 1996, vol. 127, p.125-164.
