Deutsch: Die Familien Duncker und Kerner bei der Abendunterhaltung. Das Porträt einer Hamburger großbürgerlichen Familie des Biedermeiers. Johann Wilhelm Duncker sen., Gründer der dritten Hamburger Versicherungsgesellschaft von 1804, nahm nach dem Tode seiner Frau seine Schwester Friederike, Witwe von Johann Georg Kerner, und deren drei Kinder zu sich in sein Haus auf.
