Description The town of Morganton, Tennessee, USA, photographed in 1939 by the Tennessee Valley Authority as part of the Fort Loudoun Dam project. Morganton, once located on the banks of the Little Tennessee River just west of modern Greenback, was submerged by the waters Tellico Lake in 1979. Originally entitled "Panorama of town, 1939." ARC identifier 280847.
