Description
English: Portrait of "Mrs. William Wilberforce and Child" (Barbara Ann Wilberforce) by the British artist John Linnell. Dated 1824, watercolour and gouache over graphite on scored gesso ground on panel. 14 inches x 10 1/4 inches (35.6 cm x 26 cm). Courtesy of the Paul Mellon Collection of the Yale Center for British Art, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. There seems to be a legitimate question about who is the sitter in this painting.
