English: National Museum of Decorative Arts of Spain, at 12 Calle de Montalbán (street, Retiro district) in Madrid. Building was made in the last third of the 19th century as a palace–house for the Duchess of Santoña, and extended in 1909 as a teacher-training school. It was opened as a museum in 1932, and declared an Artistic Historical Monument in 1962.
Español: Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas de España, en el nº 12 de la Calle de Montalbán (distrito de Retiro) de Madrid. El edificio fue erigido en el último tercio del siglo XIX como casa–palacio para la Duquesa de Santoña, y ampliado en 1909 como escuela de Magisterio. Fue abierto como museo en 1932, y declarado Monumento Histórico Artístico en 1962. |
