Description
English: Photograph of British 8 inch howitzer firing. The gunlayer is holding the lanyard which is still connected to the gun's firing lock in the breech. Believed to be at Messines Ridge, June 1917 (see US Library of Congress http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.pnp/cph.3a48215)
