Comparison of Image:NikkoYakushiTempleStereoColor.jpg and Image:NikkoYomeimonInsideView5200.jpg. Image:NikkoYakushiTempleStereoColor.jpg has the copyright text: Scanned from stereocard view, c. 1900 No publisher, date, nor assertion of any copyright listed. Despite the label on the card, the photo appears to be of the building that houses the mikoshi at Nikko Toshogu. The Yomeimon is on the left. The view in the photo at right is of the same two buildings. This photographic image was published before 31st December 1956 or photographed before 1946 and not published for 10 years thereafter under jurisdiction of the Government of Japan. Thus this photographic image is considered to be public domain according to article 23 of old copyright law of Japan and article 2 of supplemental provision of copyright law of Japan. This applies world wide. Image:NikkoYomeimonInsideView5200.jpg is Public Domain (by me) I contribute my rights in the composite to the public domain. I adjusted the color of the old photo partly. |
