Description
On the verso was a text giving the date and naming Ottesen. It appeared that the painting had been made for a bazar held by the veteran's organization from the two Schleswig Wars (De danske Vaabenbrødre). The medal in the painting appears to be a memorial medal for participation in the Second Schleswig War in 1864.
