Description
Français : Le Temple du ciel, à Pékin .- Chine. Les tablettes spirituelles des dieux, auxquelles l'empereur rendait compte de sa gestion de l'année écoulée, étaient placées dans ce bâtiment. L'escalier à rampe de marbre est utilisé comme celui de la Cité interdite ; l'empereur y était transporté dans sa chaise à porteurs.
English: The Imperial Vault of Heaven Beijing, was used to house the tablet of the God of Heaven and the tablets of the emperors' ancestors. The tablets had to be removed to the open air before the emperor came to pray, and replaced back to the original shrine when the ceremony was over.
