A four-part shield which is the coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth . In the first red field, the coat of arms of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland , in the second red field, the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , in the third red field, the coat of arms of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland , and in the fourth red field, the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . In the heart shield is the coat of arms of the Sobieski family (Janina) .

Object history King John III, was a member of the Sobieski family of the Janina coat of arms. When he sat on the throne of Poland, his family's coat of arms was placed, according to tradition, on the coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
