Notes
English: The glass beads that adorn this palm wine bottle are an imported product from Europe and bear witness to Cameroon's history of interconnectedness and innovations in artistic workshops in the Grasslands. Magnificent palm wine bottles were carried by the king's wives or courtiers on special occasions or displayed lined up, testifying to the wealth of the court. The consumption or spilling of palm wine was an important element of ritual ceremonies.
