Description |
Italiano: Il Ritratto di gentiluomo detto Giovan Battista Castaldi e erroneamente identificato col "Ritratto del Signor Giovan Battista Castaldi" conservato nella Guardaroba di Ranuccio I nel 1587, questo gentiluomo in nero è stato attribuito al Parmigianino e considerato una sorta di pendant del "Ritratto di Galeazzo Sanvitale". Nell'Ottocento, in connessione con quest'ultimo allora creduto Cristoforo Colombo, venne battezzato col nome altrettanto fantasioso di Amerigo Vespucci. L'opera, viceversa, priva del vibrante mistero dei ritratti del Parmigianino, va attribuita ad un altro artista attivo a Parma forse identificabile con Michelangelo Anselmi. [1] |
