Description
English: A study of drapery. This drawing was among a group of studies which descended through the artist's family to the sale at Christie's in 1999. This sheet by the hand of ‘Citoyenne Auzou’ was probably executed during her training in the studio of Jean-Baptiste Regnault (1754-1829) which was open to women; one of the mandatory exercises was the study of drapery.
