Wir konnten heute ein unvergessliches Spektakel beobachten, welches wir nicht mehr vergessen werden. In einer Bucht vor der Peninsula Valdes tummeln sich zurzeit hunderte Wale. Schon vom Strand aus sehen wir, wie die Wale Wasserfontänen, begleitet von einem lauten Schnauben in den Himmel treiben. Die Walenmütter erheben sich immer wieder an die Wasseroberfläche und schlagen mit den Flossen auf das Wasser, um so die Walenbabys zu sich zu rufen. Wir gehen gegen Abend, als sich die Sonne langsam gegen den Horizont reicht, raus auf das Meer, um noch näher bei den Walen sein zu können. Dann geschah das Erlebnis, von dem ich berichten wollte. Ein Wal schiesst plötzlich aus dem Wasser in die Luft, dreht sich im Fluge langsam auf den Rücken und klatscht mit einem lauten Getöse auf das Wasser. Dies wiederholt der Wal gute 10mal. Das zu beobachten, war einfach fantastisch. |
