Description
English: The Ponts Jumeaux is the point at which the Canal du Midi joins the Canal de Garonne and the River Garonne, via the Canal de Brienne. It was built in 1774 by Joseph-Marie de Saget, a civil engineer in the province of Languedoc in Toulouse.
Français : Ensemble de trois ponts à Toulouse. Ils réunissent le canal du Midi, le canal de Brienne et le canal latéral au port de l'Embouchure. Deux d'entre eux ont été construit en 1774 par Joseph-Marie de Saget, un ingénieur civil de la province de Languedoc. Le dernier date de 1844 avec le creusement du canal latéral.
Occitan : L'emplaçament "Ponts Bessons" dessenha los dos ponts bastits en 1774 per Joseph-Marie de Saget, engenhaire de las òbras publicas de la província de Lengadòc, sul pòrt de l'embocadura a Tolosa. Fin finala, i a tres ponts, cadun a la dintrada d'un canal : lo Canal del Miègjorn pel pont del centre, lo canal lateral a Garona pel pont nòrd, e lo canal de Brienne pel pont sud. Lo pont nòrd foguèt apondut durant las òbras del canal lateral a Garona en 1844.
