Français : Ce portrait représente peut-être Jacques Vivier (1752-1782) alors qu'il était encore un tout jeune élève officier, probablement avant 1770. Son père Paul Vivier, seigneur de Vaugouin et armateur, avait épousé Anne-Marie Rocaute. Pour sa part écuyer et seigneur de Nolleau, Jacques Vivier entra, après avoir fourni ses preuves de noblesse, au régiment de Champagne, puis devint premier lieutenant au régiment d'Austrasie. Il sera tué sous les ordres de Suffren au combat de Negapatam contre l'escadre anglaise le 6 juillet 1782. |
