English: Rotary snowplow RhB Xrotd 9213 working on the Bernina Line at Lago Bianco, Switzerland. This picture was taken on a special event for photographers, but operations like this were common until the 1960s. Today the Xrotd is rarely used, when there's lots of snow to clear, and it's mainly kept for the pleasure of railfans.
Deutsch: Dampfschneeschleuder der RhB, die Xrotd 9213, im Einsatz auf der Berninalinie am Lago Bianco. Das Bild wurde an einem Spezialanlass für Fotografen aufgenommen, aber solche Einsätze waren durchaus typisch bis in die 60er-Jahre. Heutzutage wird die Xrotd nur noch bei sehr viel Schnee gebraucht, und wird hauptsächlich zur Freude von Eisenbahnfans einsatzfähig gehalten. |
