Description Ritratto del conte Giovanni Battista Munarini, nativo di Reggio, entrò nel Collegio nel 1752. Militò con onore nella guerra dei sette anni. Ritornato in patria, fu nominato dal duca Ercole III prima governatore di Garfagnana e in seguito ministro delle relazioni estere. Nel 1796 seguì Ercole III, che si era rifugiato a Venezia, ma dopo la morte di quest'ultimo, avvenuta nel 1803 a Treviso, ritornò a Modena dove Giovanni Battista Munarini morì dopo qualche anno.
