English: Salomon Heine (19 October 1767 – 23 December 1844) was a merchant and banker in Hamburg. Heine was born in in Hanover, Germany. Penniless, he came to Hamburg in 1784 and in the following years acquired sizeable assets. He became well known as benefactor and patron of his nephew Heinrich Heine.
Deutsch: Salomon Heine (* 19. Oktober 1767 in Hannover; † 23. Dezember 1844 in Hamburg ) war ein wohlhabender Hamburger Kaufmann und Bankier. Er kam 1784 mittellos in Hamburg an und erwarb in den folgenden Jahren ein beträchtliches Vermögen. Bekannt wurde er als Wohltäter in Hamburg und großer Förderer seines Neffen Heinrich Heine.
