- Zu sehen ist der Bergfried von Schloss Hückeswagen, auch "Schelmenturm" genannt. Er wurde wahrscheinlich im ersten Drittel des 13. Jahrhunderts errichtet. Die älteste Ansicht des Schlosses von Erich Philipp Ploennies zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts zeigt den Turm mit 23 Metern wesentlich höher als heute. Die Reduzierung auf zwei Geschosse erfolgte bei Umbau- und Sicherungsarbeiten Anfang des 19. Jahrhundert. Die Aufnahme erfolgte vom einem Fußweg aus, der über einen Parkplatz an der Bahnhofstraße hoch zum Schloss verläuft.

- You can see the keep of Schloss Hueckeswagen, also called as "Schelmenturm". This part of the palace was built in the first third of 13th century. The oldest sight from the 18th century by Erich Philipp Ploennies shows the "Schelmenturm" with the high level of 23 metres. In the past it was much more higher as today. The reduction of the tower was taken in the early 19th century. There was a rebuilding and a renovation. The picture takes from a footpath, which run from "Bahnhofstraße" to the palcace.
