Description
Deutsch: Spare Seife! ... aber wie?
English: German poster directing people to save soap and oil and giving suggestions on how to do so. On verso, a request to display the poster in a prominent place.


English translation of the text: Save soap, for it is made of the oils and greases now so essential and scarce. But how? Never dip the soap into the water! Never hold it under running water! Prevent unnecessary frothing! Keep the soap dish dry! Don't throw slivers of soap away! Help yourself by using brushes, sand, pumice, wood ash, horsetails, and cigar ash, and by frequent washing in warm water.
