Rope bridge across, Alakananda River, Srinagar, Garhwal, 1784-94, when Thomas and William Daniell reached Srinagar, the then Raja of Srinagar was involved in a war with his brother, they were advised to leave the town, which they did using the rope bridge across the river which was in spate, probably due to the Rainy season in the area, which July-September. |
