Description

Stamp of Monaco; 1958; commemorative stamp of the issue "100th Anniversary of Apparition of the Virgin Mary in Lourdes"; This apparition occured an 1858.02-11 to the 14 year old astma-sick girl Marie Bernadette Soubirous (1844-1879) in a grotto at Massabielle near the French town Lourdes (Gascogny, région: Occitanie, département Hautes-Pyrénées, near of the Spanish border).; After the apparition one has given to her and their workless parents the "Mill Lacadé" as new home which was later until to today a museum.; The stamp picture shows Mademoiselle Bernadette at the shepherd of sheeps at Lourdes in the 1850s.; mint stamp
