Stamp of the United Arab Emirates; 1968; Emirate Ras al-Khaima; 1964-1971 British protectorate, released in the independence; since 1973 member of the "United Arab Emirates" as new state; commemorative special issue to the "International Museum Campaign - Art Masterpieces in European Museums"; Depicted is the painting "Tha Hay-Wain" by the British painter John Constable (1779-1837).; This painting was created in 1821 in the style of the Romanticism (Landscapes) and shows a Hay-Wain (German: "Der Heukarren") in the river Stour in Suffolk (England).; The depicted mill belonged the father of John Constable.; John Constable was born on in East Bergholt (Suffolk, England) and death on in London (United Kingdom).; He was a characteristical representant of the British Genre-painting of the 19th century (romantic landscapes) and of the British culture at all.; The depicted painting is contemporary located in the "National Gallery" of London, but many galleries have copies of this painting (so, among others, at the "V & A Museum" in Central London).; This stamp was postmarked by CTO.
