Notes The altar for which the drawing was prepared is today in the Bamberg Cathedral. It was commissioned by artist's son Andreas Stoss, prior of the Carmelite convent in Nuremberg, however since the convent was dissolved in 1525 the altar found it's place in Bamberg in 1543.
