Copy G (1794) version of Plate 12 from Series b of There is No Natural Religion Copy Information Title: There is No Natural Religion Origination: William Blake: author, inventor, delineator, etcher, printer, colorist Origination: Catherine Blake: printer Publisher: William Blake Place of Publication: London Note: The place of publication is not given in the work, but Blake was living in London at the time of its composition, etching, and printing. Composition Date: c. 1788 Print Date: c. 1794 Note: Reproduced here are plates 1-8, 10-12 (as arranged here) from copy G and plate 9 (as arranged here) from copy I. All plates are from the same printing. Number of Objects: 12 Object Order: a1-a9, b3, b4, b12 Note: Plates a1-a8, b3, b4, and b12 are from copy G; plate a9 is from copy I, there being no clearly-printed impression in copy G. Plate a9 from copy I is from the same printing session as the plates in copy G. It was only a later historical accident that separated plate a9 from those in copy G. Bentley plate numbers used here. Object Size: ranging between 4.7 x 3.5 cm. and 6.1 x 4.6 cm. Number of Leaves: 12 Leaf Size: copy G (plates 1-8, 10-12 as arranged here) approx. 13.7 x 10.8 cm.; copy I (plate 9 as arranged here) 13.5 x 10.3 cm.
