Central panel of the Frankfurt Kreuzaltar Deutsch: Die Mitteltafel zeigt die Auffindung und Verherrlichung des wahren Kreuzes durch Heilige, Propheten und Engel. Rechts unten sind die Patriarchen, einschließlich Moses, Abraham und König David abgebildet. Jonas sitzt auf dem Wal mit zum Kreuz erhobenem Blick, die hl. Catherine of Alexandria und Maria Magdalena sind in schwesterlicher Umarmung. Im Vordergrund ist ein Streit zwischen dem hl. Sebastian und den 4 Kirchenvätern, Papst Gregor.
