THIS IS THE NATIONAL FLAG OF VIETNAM
THIS IS NOT
Our National Flag is raised high, fluttering with the wind... It is the symbol for the independence of Vietnam, the day the entire people escaped from slavery: March 8, 1949.
THE MEANING OF OUR FLAG
Let us remember the meaning of our flag colors. Red symbolizes our bloodline, our bravery, the nation of three regions as one, which has many times been attacked, the yellow color is the symbol of the South, the South which has resoundingly risen up to aim for higher intentions, to create a name for itself amongst the four seas and five continents.
The national flag is the symbol of our country, the sign of our freedom. Let us be proud of our National Flag, let us make it glorious, for the heroic blood of our country has been shed to fight back independence for the Cồ Việt nation, from Bạch Đằng, Mê Linh to Lam Sơn, Phú Quốc.
Let us be passionate of our National Flag, let us protect it. And never let any other flag take its place of honor in the mountains and rivers of Vietnam! Long live the national flag of Vietnam! Let it forever fly on this land until the end of heaven and earth.
UNDER THE COMMUNIST FLAG
The communist flag has been spotted in our land. It tramples everything we respect and cherish!
Down with the communist flag!
We only have a single national flag, the Vietnamese flag of ours!
