Description
Français : Gaston Laplace a dessiné la ville de Vermandovillers (Somme). Cette dernière a été durement touchée par les combats durant la Première Guerre mondiale. À travers cette œuvre, Gaston Laplace montre les différents stigmates que les batailles ont laissés. Dans ce dessin, il ne reste que des ruines et des arbres morts. En haut à droite, il est possible de distinguer un soldat qui se recueille sur une tombe. En effet, les combats autour de la ville de Vermandovillers ont été très meurtriers dans les deux camps (voir la page Wikipédia de la ville de Vermandovillers).
