In the shape of a woman, Vertumnus talks to his beloved Pomona. With his right hand Vertumnus grabs a vine. Between his legs rests a walking stick. Pomona lays under an apple tree and holds a knife in her right hand with which she harvests fruit. On the foreground, right, are aples, pears and grapes. |
