Description
Deutsch: Borbecker Wappen; Blasonierung: In Rot zwei gekreuzte silberne (weiße) Schwerter mit goldenen (gelben Griffen) mit einem grünen Palmenkranz. Die Schildflanken zeigen oben vorn und unten hinten in Gold (Gelb) zwei rote Balken und oben hinten und vorn unten in Gold zwei rote Pfähle. Bedeutung: Das Wappen bezieht sich auf die Fürstäbtissinnen vom Adelsgeschlecht Fürstenberg (Schildflanken), denen das Schloss Borbeck als Sommerresidenz diente. Die Schwerter stehen für Cosmas und Damian (aus dem Essener Wappen), der Palmenkranz als Zeichen für die Märtyrer.
