Nederlands: Houten ladder uit de Romeinse tijd. Het laddertje bestaat uit twee staanders en drie sporten, alle gemaakt van eik (Quercus). Voor de sporten zijn in de staanders rechthoekige inkepingen gemaakt. In de inkepingen van de staanders, alsmede aan beide uiteinden van elke sport, zijn gaten geboord. De sporten zijn aan de staanders bevestigd met houten pinnen, die van es (Fraxinus excelsior) gemaakt zijn en precies in het geboorde gat passen. Om de houten pinnen extra te zekeren zijn er metalen pennen doorheen geslagen. De punten van de metalen pennen zijn aan de achterzijde van de ladder krom geslagen. De bevestigingswijze van de sporten aan de staanders en het houtgebruik wijzen erop dat men zware lasten op het laddetje kon vervoeren, waarbij een hoogteverschil van circa 60-65 cm overbrugd werd. De ladder is aangetroffen in waterput in Kesteren die in de 2de eeuw op het erf van een boerderij was gegraven. Afmetingen: hoogte 92.0 cm.
