Duplicate symbols

I noticed we host two similar symbols:

• 
  Biohazard symbol.svg
• 
  International Biohazard Warning Symbol.svg

Is there an important difference between them? Shouldn't we merge the two pages? I guess they're both based on BiohazardSymbolJapanArea.jpg: . Vicipaedianus X 13:56, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Copyright status of the original symbol?

I suspect that the original symbol is in the public domain but while I am still searching to verify this I haven't come across anything definitive. Does anyone have a pointer? Thank you. 92.170.11.225 16:41, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
