File talk:Coat of arms of the Eurogendfor.svg
This is heraldry, and I don't see why this design isn't heraldically correct. Please specify what you believe is wrong, Nicola Romani. - Ssolbergj (talk) 17:44, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know the exact motivation, but I think that Nicola thinks that it is "wrong" because is lightly different from coat of arm used on it.wiki (under fair use). Hope this helps.--Trixt (talk) 18:14, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, it's design is slightly different, but considering that this is heraldry, that doesn't necessarily mean it's "inaccurate". I'll remove the tag in Nicola doesn't write a response soon. - Ssolbergj (talk) 21:45, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Once again a badge is a badge! is not a heraldry representation, please improve your graphic skills and image or remove this fake file from the page you had posted it. Your work fell under Original Research policy, and you are presenting it as accurate and correct badge, but is not. --Nicola Romani (talk) 21:55, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Please provide references, it's certainly reminiscent of an escutcheon. This has nothing to do with graphic skills, and in case it's heraldry (which it certainly seems like) then it's valid and not OR by any means. - Ssolbergj (talk) 15:50, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
To both users: do not edit warring, or I will block the page.
@Nicola Romani: remember that on Commons it's not in use the Wikipedia original research policy, thus on Commons original research are allowed provide that description is accurate. So, if you think that this is a derivative work of an official badge, please consider to request changing the file's name (using {{Move}}), like File:Coat of arms of the Eurogendfor with text out of shield.svg (just an example).
@Ssolbergj: are you sure that this is an heraldry representation and not a derivative work of a recent and copyrighted coat of arms? Is the badge a visual representation of a public domain textual description (is {{Coat of arms}} valid for this image?)? Because if the image on http://www.eurogendfor.eu/ is copyrighted, you have done a unauthorized derivative work. We need a public domain text description to allow free visual representation of a coat of arms.--Trixt (talk) 12:37, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
