How does one know that a pictu8re file is authentically what it claims to be if it gives no source. Saying that a Nikon camera took a photo of the picture is not a proof of anything. Thiis also relates to the copyright. If the photographer had taken a camera into a museum when he or she was not supposed to, then the being in the public domain is not true. Or was the picture reproduced by the photographer found and photographed in a book? If so, is it a fairly recent book? If so, the public domain designation is incorrect.
How do we know if we have no source and no photographer being identified? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rlbowman937 (talk • contribs) 19:52, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
