That's not a stain, that's the Limfjord. The different colour is probably an artifact from using the "fill" tool of whatever image editing software was employed to change the colour of the ocean from some cyan-ish hue to grey, which, if you look closely at Norway and the islands of the High Arctic, left some other fjords, bays and straits (or other indentations) unchanged as well. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 19:25, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
