File talk:Flag of Italy (1861-1946) crowned.svg
I transfer the question from Markab1975 in this more suitable place:
- Hi! Can somebody please place the crowned Savoia arms image into the centre of the flag. As it stands now, there is a larger gap at the bottom of the Savoia coat of arms than there is from the top of the crown. Thanks! --Markab1975
- Hi Markab! I've positioned the coat of arms in that place only as an optical correction. Many original flags is used to raise a bit the shield, but probably you are right to found it too much lifted up. So I'm waiting for more comments. --F l a n k e r (talk) 21:44, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi Sir !! Thanks for your reply. I believe it is placed too high on the flag, as when I visited the Italian wikipedia site and looked at other similar flags the Savoia Crest and Crown were in a central position. Check out the picture of the "Alternate" Flag of Italy (1861-1946) crowned, and you will see what I mean!! Please let me know what you think. By the way, I like the design of this "new" crowned flag, it's great!!
- Eh eh, OK OK, now I've lowered the coat of arms (it's not in the center however). I hope that now is as you like. Cheers, F l a n k e r (talk) 23:41, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thankyou !! As long as there is an equal space ABOVE and BELOW the crest and crown, then all the Flags should be correct. Now can you please check the rest of them to make sure they are all correct ??? Flag of Italy (1861-1946) crowned; version of the flag with an alternate crown; version of the flag with a simplified crown; version for the Royal Army & civil ensign. There are 5 in total! Thankyou so much !! You're a Legend !!
Attention:- Just quickly, I think the very top end of the white band is not properly coloured. Have a look, see what you think! Regards, Markab.
- You got an eagle eye! Yes, the white background was positioned 1,5 pixel down, I've correct this issue, thank you. --F l a n k e r (talk) 09:57, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
