Kibya was annexed to Jordan when this picture was taken. I assume this image is PD, because the Jordanian copyright statute is usually not stricter than the Israeli law, and I assume the photographer was Jordanian and subject to the Jordanian law. In any case, PD-Israel is not relevant here. PD-Israel may be used for pictures taken in Israel, or if taken before 15 May 1948 - in the territory subject to the British Mandate of Palestine. It cannot be used for pictures taken in the West Bank and Gaza Strip from 15 May 1948 till 5 June 1967. It can be used for pictures taken by Israeli citizens in the WB&Gaza or in the Golan Heights after 5 June 1967. Drork (talk) 16:23, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
