Nationality of clothing

The past two edits had changed the description of the clothing worn by Lord Byron from Albanian dress to Greek dress, and then followed by a rename. Rename denied at this point, and description reverted at this point in time.

The image has had a long standing use of the adjective of Albanian so to make a change from that to Greek would require a presentation of evidence rather than a simple statement and request. Naming changes need to be non-controversial, and from my admin perspective, the descriptive change could be seen as controversially undertaken, let alone a rename. Hence a return to preceding description and no name change at this point.

To progress an adjectival change and a rename, evidence should be produced to the history of the painted image that would clearly describe the origins of the clothing worn, OR, that the description would be addressing the nature of the clothing in terms that are not nationalistic, if that is possible. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:41, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

I agree with you. There is overwhelming reference on the Internet that this painting at-least is known as Lord Byron in Albanian dress. Compare to Lord Byron in Greek dress. ManuelGR (talk) 11:45, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

I'm very certain this has been Photoshopped
