Hi ! I slightly modified the French Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution because of a risk of confusion between speed vectors distribution and speed norms distribution. To complete this, in addition to your graph of the distribution of the norm of speeds of particules, I wish I could add a graph with the standard distributions of the speed vector (let say v_x) for the same situation (O^2, -100°C, 20°C, 600°C). I wish the two graphs be of the same aspect but I don't know gnuplot very well. Could you help in any way ?
