Misleading file name
[edit]Its good representation of census of 1932, but in terms of historical and ethnographic facts this map is nonense - let me sum up:
- it shows Belarusians in areas of Podlasie region that vere and are to modern day inhabited by Ukrainian speaking groups I mean mostly area more south from Białystok. The lone area south from Bialystok is more or less correct. But more south area marked as Belarusians ( North from Siedlce east to Brześć ) is not correct - those should be marked as Ukrainians.
- It shows no Belarusians north from Bialystok - and they should be marked there as there was and still are alot of belarusian speaking villages ( they are mostly roman catholics )
- Domination of Poles in areas of modern day Lithuania and Belarus were disputed here so I will not repeat arguments of that discussion.
So: It should be renamed to "... according to Census from ..." and noted that this map is controversial. You should keep in mind that polish politics directed toward national minorities was highly biased and there are numerous historians claiming that this census was biased and full of cases of falsifications. 178.36.21.22 15:54, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
And file shall be edited to put information on it that it represents just results of census and do not represent actual situation. 178.36.21.22 15:58, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
