Map issues
[edit]The current map is a trace of front-lines from the famous wiki map, it is generally good but it contains fundamental flaws that in time should have been adjusted.
The North-East Kurdish Control Area in Al-Hasakah:
1) The capital of the province and the largest city are government controlled, however, all other little towns are “Monitored” by local police (which happened to be Kurdish) but is not designated non Syrian Arab Army territory. The local defense committees are all over Syria utilizing local residents indifferent of their ethnicity.
These local defense mechanisms are paid by the government in Damascus and militarily supplied by the Syrian Arab Army. There are representatives in the parliament for this are and the residents of this area are to vote in the upcoming election held by Damascus. There are no problems or fights between the Syrian Arab Army and any faction in this area, those are a loyalist group despite what the media mentioned years ago - and never adjusted since - to signify disintegration of Syria and loss of control by the government at a time when the opposition claimed control over most of Syria.
This whole area should be designated pink.
2) The dots on the map should have signified only Civilian Centers connected by roads with certain control. However they also signify isolated power plants, fertile land, and even dirt road intersections. The designation gives the impression of Land-Grab that is totally unrealistic.
Long and open desert/land/boarders between Syria and Iraq give the ISIS easy mobility but there are no actual roads or even useful land to grab. No one controls such desert despite the fact that is accessible to anyone who wants to drive through it. The SAA can land aircraft there anytime but does that mean they control it too!
