Why the renaming? It was NOT the ONLY Naval Ensign. "White Ensign" was a more accurate name for this ensign. Quistnix (talk) 06:26, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

Agreed – until 1864 the red, white and blue ensigns were all naval ensigns. In line with File:Red Ensign of Great Britain (1707-1800).svg and File:Blue Ensign of Great Britain (1707-1800).svg, I propose that this file be moved to File:White Ensign of Great Britain (1707-1800).svg.
