Thanks.

[edit]

Thanks, Yarl, for sharing this file. It's fantastic. :) Is it possible please to create an English version also? This is for use on Meta wiki, Outreach wiki, and the Wikimedia blog. Pinging @Halibutt: . All the best, Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 12:44, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If Yarl has an svg version, problem is solved, if not, I could prepare one myself next week. Yarl, what font is that BTW? Anyway, Anna, ping me should you need my assistance. Halibutt (talk) 13:47, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Halibutt. You're the best. :) Yarl, fyi, see also this page: m:Wikiexpedition. :) Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 14:25, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@AKoval (WMF) and Halibutt: Here you have: File:Wikiexpedition logo.svg. I don't remember what font is it, but frankly any generic serif font will do the job. Cheers, Yarl 08:02, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Yarl! This new generic logo has been applied at m:Wikiexpedition. Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 12:53, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Before adding an English caption, it should probably be considered whether or not to make the term plural, as in 'Wikiexpeditions', and whether or not to capitalize the 'e' in expeditions, as in 'WIkiExpeditions'. Simple things become easily complicated. :) Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 12:53, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It all depends on whether anyone plans to actually use this logo for their own expedition (singular), or whether it would only be used as a logo for all expeditions at meta or outreach (say, similar to a single logo at page describing all editathons). But then again our small native speaker club might not be the best body to decide that ;)
Anyway, thanks Yarl. Halibutt (talk) 21:27, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
