σt = 0.1

[edit]

I disagree with the following revision:

Revision as of 17:53, 13 November 2019 by 204.77.163.55 (talk) (sigma_t = 0.1 could not reproduce this figure. It is for sigma_t = 0.3.)

For one thing, the image is nearly indistinguishable from File:Window function and frequency response - Approximate confined Gaussian (sigma t = 0.1).svg.

Also, I re-ran the script at File:Window function and frequency response - Rectangular.svg, without a semicolon on statement:

[CGWg, CGWsigma_w, CGWsigma_t] = CGWn(anorm*abar,1)

to see what value would print out for CGWsigma_t (with N=2049). The printout is:

CGWsigma_t = 204.90   which is actually σt × N. Therefore σt = 0.1
