Description
Svenska: Stående helfigur, fas vänster. Svart robe med underklänning av guldbrokad. Högra handen vilande på balustrad med Haugwitz vapensköld. I bakgrunden slottsflygel. Huset i bakgrunden rådhuset i Nürnberg. Sign: "ALMS van Hulle" (Anselm van Hulle 1601- efter 1674). Kilad spännram. Förgylld 1800-talsram. Lapp på spännramen: "Fältmarskalken grefve C.G. Wrangels grefvinna född A.M. von Haugwitz." Prydnadsram inslaget XIV. Upp och nedvänd text med svart N:o 6. "Grevinnan Wrangel."
The portrait depicts Anna Margareta von Haugwitz, married to Carl Gustaf Wrangel in 1640, with her right hand placed on a parapet with the von Haugwitz coat of arms. In the background is a view of the town hall in Nürnberg, where she and her husband stayed during the peace congress 1649-50.
Anselm van Hulle painted several portraits of prominent members of the peace treaties in Münster in 1648.
